Founded 15 years ago by three partners – Kevin Conger, Willett Moss, and Chris Guillard, CMG has established a reputation for thoughtful and intriguing landscape design and planning solutions at all scales.

CMG provides planning, design, and management services to a wide range of public, institutional, and private clients. The founders established the firm with the belief that landscape architecture operates at the intersection of planning, architecture, art, and ecological design. Landscapes of public and community value are the central focus of the practice.

Based in the Bay Area, many of CMG’s projects are highly visible components of the urban fabric in Northern California. CMG’s professionals are all in one location in the South of Market area in San Francisco. The office has grown from the team of founders to its current staff of 35.  Perhaps the two most noteworthy attributes of CMG are its visibility and its diversity.

Our office culture is foundational to the success of our practice. We are committed to the idea of consilience — bringing together ideas and voices — both in the work we do, as well as in our everyday work environment.

If you are interested in joining the conversation, please send a single PDF package with a resume, portfolio, and cover letter (under 10 MB) to employment@cmgsite.com. To help us evaluate your application, please note your experience level in the email subject line.
