Sustainable - Restoration Design
Because sustainability extends beyond the purview of any single profession or discipline it requires a holistic and collaborative approach. By understanding sustainability in its broadest context and providing specialized expertise in the issues and technologies most relevant to site planning, open space, and landscape design CMG brings valuable knowledge and insight to collaborating professionals and clients committed to sustainable design. CMG is well-versed in the many principles of sustainable design as stated in numerous conferences and protocols including the Hanover Principles, the Earth Charter, and the Green Building Council.
In addition, CMG is familiar with the LEED certification process and other certifications for material use and product safety required to measure and monitor success. Considering zoning ordinances, building codes and standards, and incentive programs such as car sharing, parking reduction, and storm water management enables a more efficient, systemic, and strategic planning and design process.
