In early June CMG was selected to be the Landscape Architect for Sunnylands. The historic 200-acre estate, owned and built by Walter and Leonore Annenberg in Rancho Mirage, CA, includes a golf course, twelve man-made lakes, a major art collection, and is an American cultural landmark. Since its inception, Sunnylands was frequented by many American presidents, British Royalty, world famous artists, writers, and actors, among other notable achievers. The estate now belongs to the Annenberg Foundation Trust and the present project involves restoration and renovation of the original property, as wells as long-term planning. The evolution of Sunnylands overtime is envisioned through improving and expanding sustainability and programmatic components.
