OPENING DAY at the PRESIDIO HABITATS EXHIBITION
Sunday May 16, 2010
This Sunday, May 16, Noon to 4 pm
Fort Scott (free shuttle from the Main Post)
Presidio Habitats is a site-based art exhibition celebrating Presidio nature and wildlife. An international group of artists, designers, and architects have created habitat structures along trails, paths, and roadways in the Fort Scott District to serve Presidio “animal clients.” These imaginative pieces allow visitors to experience the Presidio’s great outdoors in a whole new way.
A proposal called "The Black Phoebe Project" by CMG, among other proposals, will also be exhibited.
Opening Day events include a ribbon cutting, open house at the Exhibition Pavilion, a self-guided art walk, and learning stations with naturalists and artists featuring songbirds, raptors, butterflies, and bees. Bring your binoculars!
Directions, details, exhibition map, and related programs at www.presidio.gov/habitats.
Organized by the FOR-Site Foundation (www.for-site.org) in partnership with the Presidio Trust.
