The Victory Garden was the symbolic heart of the inaugural Slow Food Nation (SFN) event held Labor Day weekend 2008. The design concept was to create a living quilt of plants and people. The Victory Garden acted as a beautiful framework within which urban gardening groups (from throughout the city and the Bay Area) demonstrated the diversity of urban food production programs and practices.  CMG provided design and technical support in collaboration with SFN, John Bela, Garden for the Environment, and a variety of other groups.
