A new, mixed-use development in Dublin is required by state and regional water quality control regulations to treat all the development’s storm water prior to entering the city storm water system.  CMG ensured that this ten acre drainage basin became much more than a necessary piece of infrastructure. Using sculptural landforms and limited public access, the basin becomes a public amenity.  CMG worked closely with a team of hydrologic engineers and native plant and habitat restorers to create a landscape feature that enhances adjacent property values, evinces sustainable stormwater management practices, and is an important component of a broader open space system.
