The LEED Silver Certified project is an 8-acre parcel in Palo Alto, CA, and consists of a Jewish Community Center (JCC) and Jewish Senior Residences (JSR). Both the JCC and JSR are located on top of an on-grade parking podium. The landscape for the Campus for Jewish Life (CJL) has two guiding themes. While the landscape at the ground floor weaves the project into the street fabric of Palo Alto, the first floor level creates the specific identity by reflecting on the biblical landscape by way of planting associated with North Africa and the “Holy Land”.
