CMG transformed the front lawn at Daly City’s Serramonte Library into a Stormwater Treatment Garden. CMG layered California native plant systems in the vibrant community gathering area near Gellert Park. Graphic panels were designed to communicate how the landscape functions as a bio-retention treatment area which cleans 120,000 square feet of runoff from the adjacent parking area. The system protects the building from seasonal flooding, reduces volume and pollution impacts on the downstream estuary, and provides an attractive entry garden to this active civic place.
