Marketing Manager

CMG is expanding our marketing team and looking for an entrepreneurial and creative problem-solver to work closely with principals and senior staff in pursuit of new business.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Oversee and coordinate the writing, editing, and production of proposals and qualification packages
  • Work with principals and technical staff to develop proposal sections and scopes of work
  • Manage calendar of upcoming due dates, projections, and activities
  • Assist with the production of presentations for interviews and client meetings
  • Oversee all firm resumes, project descriptions, project data, contact database, etc.
  • Contribute ideas, creativity and energy to marketing strategy
  • Maintain high quality of marketing products in terms of accuracy and content
  • Collaborate with Communications Manager to raise brand recognition of the firm

Qualifications include (but are not limited to):

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Four years of experience within the A/E/C industry
  • Excellent knowledge of marketing fundamentals
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • High degree of personal responsibility and accountability
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong desire for continual improvement and acquiring new skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work with minimal direction
  • Strong graphic design sense

Mid-Level Landscape Architect

CMG is currently seeking a mid-level landscape architect to join our expanding team and act as project captain or manager. This motivated individual has 5-10 years of professional experience with interest and experience in the following areas:

  • Working on complex design projects with collaborative teams
  • Conceptual and technical interest and ability
  • Managing people: organizing and motivating internal and consultant teams
  • An understanding of landscape systems, preferably California ecology and climate
  • Participation in all design phases (Schematic Design through Construction Documentation)
  • Working with regulatory agencies to plan and permit projects


  • A degree in landscape architecture, or a related field
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Sketch-Up and/or Rhino required; Revit preferred.
  • Experience in a collaborative team environment
  • Applicant needs to have initiative, and be self-directed
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills

Summer Internship

Our Summer 2019 Internship application period is open.

Join CMG Landscape Architecture’s team of passionate and innovative designers for our summer internship. We are looking for motivated and creative individuals to participate in design and production efforts on a range of local and regional landscape and urban design projects. Together with CMG principals and designers, interns will also explore research questions that advance CMG’s design research and long-term project initiatives. Applicants should desire a highly collaborative environment where critical thinking is valued and required.

  • Years of Experience: Entry Level
  • Compensation: Paid internship
  • Duration: 10 weeks, June – August
  • Application Deadline: March 4, 2019
  • Shortlist: We will contact the intern shortlist by March 15, 2019.
  • Skills/Experience: Excellent graphic, design, writing, and problem solving skills are required.  Candidate should have experience with Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, and Google Sketch Up or an equivalent 3D rendering software.
  • Education: Candidates must be in pursuit of an undergraduate or graduate landscape architecture degree (or a related field, such as architecture) with at least one semester left prior to graduation.
