In 2000, three friends got together – Kevin Conger, Willett Moss, and Chris Guillard – and founded CMG Landscape Architecture. Today, the office has grown from its three founders to a current staff of 42 led by five principals.

CMG 2018 Summer Internship

Join CMG Landscape Architecture’s team of passionate and innovative designers for our summer internship, held from June-August 2018.

We are looking for motivated and creative individuals to participate in design and production efforts on a range of local and regional landscape and urban design projects. Together with CMG principals and designers, interns will also explore research questions that advance CMG’s design research and long-term project initiatives. Applicants should desire a highly collaborative environment where critical thinking is valued and necessary. Excellent graphic, design, and problem solving skills are required, along with experience using Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, and Sketch Up or Rhino.

Landscape Architect / Project Captain

Skills Required

We are currently seeking a motivated landscape architect who has 4-8 years of professional experience with interest and experience in the following areas:

  • SD – CD design and document production, preferably on large complex projects;

  • Consultant and team coordination;

  • Valuable specific expertise may include:

    • Project management experience, including work plans and fee calculations;

    • Working knowledge of California plant materials and ecology;

    • Construction documentation development and detailing experience, experience preparing specifications;

    • Marketing, proposal writing, business development experience.

Qualifications

  • A degree in landscape architecture, or a related field such as architecture or urban design with professional experience in landscape architecture;

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office;

  • Experience with Sketch-Up and/or Revit preferred;

  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment;

  • Applicant needs to have initiative, and be self-directed;

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
