Jamie Yousten

Jamie is an Associate at CMG Landscape Architecture. At a young age through traveling with her soil scientist mother, Jamie began to comprehend natural ecosystems and landscapes. These early lessons became pillars for designing thoughtful, sustainable, and environmentally conscious landscapes, and eventually seeing them through construction and into fruition. Her recent work on Yerba Buena Gardens—one of San Francisco’s major green spaces in the heart of the city—strives to create a welcoming front porch to the famous Moscone Center and larger SOMA community, providing engaging space for the advancement of green arts and education initiatives for all members of this socially connected community. Through ongoing community engagement, Jamie is working closely with stakeholders to help develop the cohesive vision for this exemplary community hub.

Jamie is an active member of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) and is part of CMG’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiative, where she helps advance conversations surrounding marginalized and underrepresented groups within the firm and the Landscape Architecture profession as a whole. Jamie holds a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Louisiana State University.
