Nico Wright


Nico is an Associate at CMG Landscape Architecture. Trained as an architect with a professional background in public art and archaeology, Nico brings unique perspectives and pragmatic solutions to complex projects. He is a cross-disciplinary designer who creates strong collaborations on complex teams. Nico has proven expertise in the intersection of Urban Design and Resilience Planning having led CMG’s design collaboration for the Resilient by Design challenge – Estuary Commons. Through the ongoing SF Waterfront Resilience Program, Nico continues to be a passionate team leader and communicator - committed to the evolution of cities as resilient and equitable places.

Throughout his career, he strives to maintain a connection between sites and their history, geography, and the human-scale experiences of everyday life. He takes that passion into his teaching experience at University of California, Berkeley - Extention, as an Instructor in Landscape Architecture and University of Oregon, as a Graduate Teaching Fellow and Guest Lecturer. Nico serves as a volunteer Alternative Commissioner for the City of Berkeley. He holds a Master of Architecture from University of Oregon and a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art from Reed College, where he received an Undergraduate Thesis Research Award.
