Associates
Arturo Fuentes-Ortiz, Associate
First joining CMG as an intern, Arturo is celebrated for his positive attitude, focus on growth, and strong commitment to the CMG community and culture. He leads engagement with Spanish-speaking communities – bringing not just translation, but cultural fluency, empathy, and trust-building to our outreach work. For the Petaluma River Park project, he exhibits great care for community members through empathetic listening and communication.
Daví Parente Schoen, Associate
Daví is a strong leader and collaborator, lending his climate resilience and urban planning expertise to CMG projects and initiatives. He spearheaded our work on the San Francisco Waterfront Resilience Program, including the release the Flood Study Draft Plan – a significant project milestone. Daví also fearlessly leads CMG’s work on California Forever, a large-scale, new city planning project in southeastern Solano County.
Chris Watkins, Associate
As a more recent addition to the CMG team, Chris has gracefully and skillfully proved himself to be a leader and thoughtful team player. He embodies the studio’s mission and is an integral part of CMG’s campus and parks + public space work—contributing to University of California San Diego Triton Center and East Cut Sports + Dog Park. Chris is recognized for his positive attitude, dedication to his work, and enthusiasm for collaboration.
Senior Associates
Jamie Yousten, Senior Associate
Jamie brings unparalleled tenacity, rigor, and care to all her work. It’s hard to overstate these attributes that lend themselves to her success with community engagement, as well as demanding quality of work on construction sites. She is a wonderful teammate, collaborator, and mentor, continually inspiring those around her. Her invaluable work ranges from regional and community-based parks like Flood Park, to sustainable, large-scale workplace campuses like Meta Headquarters and Gateway of Pacific.
Andrew Prindle, Senior Associate
Andrew is best recognized at CMG for his deep care for parks and open space projects. He manages Flood Park and through that project, has built a personal and trusting relationship with the San Mateo County Parks Department, resulting in a transformative community-driven project that retains and elevates its spirit. He also leads the Coyote Point Park Vision Plan and lends his expertise to the Coyote Valley Conservation Areas Master Plan.
Office Manager
Karl Fjelstrom, Office Manager
Karl is an invaluable asset to the function of the CMG studio. Over the past few years, he has helped keep our team afloat through just about everything – return to office, health protocols, technological support and advancements, team onboarding, office functions and events, internal communications, and much more. His commitment to our team and work makes everything we do as a firm possible.
Studio Director
Julia Price, Studio Director
As CMG’s first Studio Director, Julia brings thoughtfulness and care to everything she does — whether she’s helping to untangle the tiny details or facing something larger. She’s not just responding to one person or project, she is constantly considering the bigger picture: how all our people, our projects, and our culture interact and grow. Julia manages our entire studio project work and amid it all, she helps lead CMG’s adaptation planning work on the Oakland-Alameda Adaptation Projects (OAAC ADAPT).
