Emma is a designer at CMG Landscape Architecture. Her passion for ecology and desire to contribute to a kinder future brought her to landscape architecture. She is inspired by art and her time spent in nature.
Emma approaches landscape architecture with a curiosity towards the intersections of resources, land, and biodiversity. She strives to design with sustainability and ecological wellbeing in mind. She began her career working in parks, gardens, urban farms, and research. Following questions that developed during her work, Emma served on the 2021/2022 National Learning Council of the 4Rs Youth Movement in Canada where she hosted community engagement events about decolonization and reconciliation in land-based research. At CMG, she is an integral part of our long-term resilience planning and parks projects.
Emma holds an Honors Bachelor of Environmental Design with Distinction from the University of British Columbia. Today, she is an active volunteer and organizer in the local bike community. You can also find her building trails and caring for native plants with local stewardship groups.
