Ilia Savin


Ilia is a Designer at CMG Landscape Architecture. Having grown up in the Bay Area, Ilia is passionate about bringing positive changes to his local community. His focus within his project work center around urban public spaces and the application of climate change resilient infrastructure. His work on projects like Crissy Field Next and Treasure Island have been instrumental in pushing the needle and conversation of CMG’s initiative towards creating ecological parks and open space in San Francisco and beyond.

His prior professional experience gave him the scope and scale to work on a variety of projects in New York, China, the Middle East and Pacific Northwest. Ilia has researched climate change resilient cities in Scandinavia under the 2017 Frederick Dreer Travel Grant Award, as well as received a Merit Award for Outstanding Undergraduate Student from the American Society of Landscape Architects. Ilia holds a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from Cornell University – where he also served as the President of the ASLA Student Chapter.
